Chinese sellers dropped off Amazon's Top Seller list

release time:2020-02-18 | article source:

Since mid-February, Chinese sellers have dropped off Amazon's TOP sellers list, according to analysis by Marketplace Pulse, a third-party data agency, due to disruptions in manufacturing, shipping and warehousing due to the pneumonia outbreak and the platform's priority for providing essential goods.
According to the survey, only 29% of TOP sellers in Amazon's four core markets (THE US, UK, Germany and Japan) are from China, down from 35% in January. That percentage is the average of the four markets, with nearly 90 percent of the TOP sellers providing exact business addresses, according to Analysis by Marketplace Pulse.
One of the most important reasons for the decline is the disruption of Amazon Logistics' FBA service.Amazon Logistics is used by 95 per cent of the top sellers in the US Amazon market.
