On Aug. 6, Amazon announced plans yesterday to build a new, state-of-the-art Amazon Logistics center in Temple Terrace, Florida. The new fulfillment center will open next year and create 750 new full-time jobs. Amazon already operates seven distribution centers in the state.
Amazon's new operating facilities will cover more than 600,000 square feet. Employees at the plant will work with innovative technology to select, package and deliver smaller customer items such as books, electronics, small household items and toys. In addition, Amazon will also fill positions in human resources, operations management, security, finance and information technology.
